Il parere dell'ufficio Affari Civili sulla richiesta del malato terminale: "Può interrompere le cure. Ma non si può ordinare al medico di non ripristinare la terapia". Domani la discussione davanti al giudice
e voi cosa ne dite??
secondo me è giusto
una persona in quelle condizioni non può certo vivere bene e se è lui stesso a chiedere di morire ritengo sia giusto accontentarlo
stessa cosa nei casi in cui è accertata la morte cerebrale anche se il corpo attraverso le macchine ancora funziona
morto il cervello non ha senso spendere milioni x far funzionare un corpo fondamentalmente inutile |

E' una cosa difficile.... In questi giorni mi sono chiesta molte volte cosa avrei fatto se un mio caro fosse in quelle condizioni...
Ci sono passata..... Cinque anni e mezzo fa mia mamma ha avuto un incidente banale, una cosa che poteva essere curata in breve tempo, ma ci sono state delle complicazioni che nel giro di una settimana l'hanno portata in rianimazione.
Non auguro a nessuno quel calvario.... Da quando c'è entrata per due embolie polmonari non l'ho mai vista migliorare, fino a quando non le hanno fatto la tracheotomia per respirare. Sono stati 72 giorni di inferno per noi e per lei soprattutto, perchè a giorni era cosciente. Io me la sarei riportata a casa anche così se Dio me l'avesse lasciata..... Ma alla fine, vedendo la sua sofferenza mi sono affidata a Lui, chiedendogli di fare quello che sarebbe stato meno doloroso per mamma....
Ma se fosse sopravvissuta io non so se avessi avuto il coraggio di "staccarle la spina".... Non è solo una questione di egoismo... E' che la vita ce l'ha data Dio e noi non siamo nessuno per poter decidere per qualcun'altro....
E se fosse stata lei a chiedermi di staccarle la spina? Non lo so nemmeno in questo caso.....
La cosa triste è che per il signor Welby debba decidere un tribunale.....
Piuttosto chiedetevi una cosa... quanta gente si trova nelle stesse circostanze del signor Welby e magari ha vicino qualcuno abbastanza coraggioso da fargli quella dose in più di valium... Un medico che non sia anche obiettore di coscienza... Un parente impietosito dalla sofferenza... Quante persone muoiono così senza che per loro debba decidere la corte di un tribunale? Io credo molte.....

mia nonna ha avuto un tumore che l'ha presa alle vie respiratorie ed è andata avanti 2 anni senza qsi potersi muovere
dopo un po' ha espresso il desiderio di andare in montagna
l'abbiamo fatto anche se poi nn era nemmeno in grado di parlare xkè nn aveva abb fiato x farlo
poi dopo una crisi respiratoria è tornata in ospedale ed è stata l'ultima volta che le hanno ripulito i polmoni x farla respirare
è morta poche settimane dopo |

pare una crisi respiratoria ma non si sa bene se casuale o provocata

Quella che lui conduceva non era una vita in quanto era legato a una macchina per poter vivere!!!
Come in tutte le cose ci sono i pareri favorevoli e non: hanno fatto bene a staccare la spina perchè comunque lui soffriva e non voleva più vivere così, e molto prob gli dispioaceva vedere i suoi famigliari che soffrivano a loro volta per lui. E' vero per i famigliari non sarà stata certo una scelta facile, visto che si trattava di far morire un loro caro, ma secondo me hanno fatto bene mettendo così la parola fine alla sua sofferenza!!!
Trovo ingiuste invece le polemiche politiche e il rischio del medico che la aiutato a morire di condannarlo a 15 anni. Ancora più scandoloso il divito da parte dell achiesa di celebrare la messa funebre religiosa no commet!!! [Modificato da @Orchidea@ 24/12/2006 20.48] |
